lay of the land with a Bon Jovi Song and I hit the intro notes I've never done b4

I hit the notes better than I have before on this song, but I do need to work on getting more character in my voice
but I made a mini mile stone so i thought i'd share the link https://www.dropbox.com/s/qcsyi9vh4npe4gp/My recording 2.wav?dl=0

    Hi @ContraltoLivesMatter,

god to read that made a step forward. I am a guitar player, too, an often notice when I start new songs it is helpful to make me a guitar playback myself so I can focus on the singing. I suggest that you learn the melody phrase by phrase. There is also an app to help with that. It is called Anytune - there is a free version, too.

    Regards,
    Doc

@ContraltoLivesMatter hi, to get more character to your voice I would start on support, I know I probably posted you this video but I would do it over and over until you get it, because its not that easy, and try to get to sing as bright as you can, btw it doesn´t matter if you are contralto just get the "ping" ken talks about when he says the dr wants to see your tonsils and say "AH" and maintain that brightness through the song/scales
make sure you watch it many times, good luck
