Diaphragmatic Breathing Exercises

Hey Everybody,

In the diaphragmatic breathing exercise, do you completely exhale with each pitch or do you hold one breath throughout the entire scale? I see Ken's stomach contract with each pitch, but I'm not sure if he is exhaling completely or simply relaxing in between pitches while retaining some of his breath.

Yes you would exhale most if your air returning the diaphragm to the relaxed position. Basically you should be taking a quick breath between each note. Think of relaxing those muscles completely that will draw air into the lungs. Belly pulls in on the Ha then relaxes outward for the breath.
