bending over

i just remembered that  when i was doing another program they would have you bend over while doing some of the scales. i was new to singing so i just did what they said. thinking back i think that it simulated pushing down on your diaphragm . am i right?

    i remember doing this as well in the Seth riggs program.  Part of the idea was to keep your larynx stable and down as well.  And also, it gave you something else to concentrate on as you were singing higher.  I never could get the idea, and don't bother with it to this day.
