Mariachi Singing

Hello all,
In mariachi singing is it mostly low larynx and chest voice ? I noticed that most mariachis have the same form of singing and love to use vibratos. I just want someone to clarify with me if this is how they are producing these sounds. I will post a video here so you can get an idea. Thanks!

This particular guy is singing without a lowered larynx, but it's not high larynx, either. He has a nice, relaxed vibrato, about 2.5 to 3 cycles per second. That's pretty typical for this style of singing. The vibrato is mostly used at the end of a phrase, not constantly.
