hi all. my name is james and i need some advice on a song i am working on.

i have been trying to record this song for a few months and i am trying to see what i can do to make it better. any advice would be amazing.

    Hi, James!

     

    The basic song is good. The background voices sound pretty interesting.

    It would be nice to maybe open up the sound on your main vocal a little more like you've done with the background vocals.  Your main vocal sounds a bit narrow and closed.  Perhaps that's what you wanted, I don't know. 

    It sounds like you need a bit more vocal technique to sound more comfortable with your voice.  You're on-pitch for the most part, but the tone just sounds a bit pinched.  Opening up the vocal tract and singing with an open-throat technique would be helpful.

    thank you. i will try to do that. i still am having a hard time getting comfortable, so hopefully soon.
