couple music videos from Vinni

Hi all I'm Vinni and would like to say KTVA rocks!

I could not find any vocal teacher that would have such clear explanation AND good voice, as Ken Tamplin does. He's my hero since my teenage - 'An Axe to Grind' era...

So I've been following videos and they helped me a lot. The most encouraging thing was to hear Ken's explanation about late bridging. That worked for me for I'm a belter, here's what I mean, in this video I'm playing and singing: https://youtube.com/watch?v=JkYZmrEg4iA (it's in Lithuanian:)

Now I would like to ask you just one thing that's not really clear to me. It's about 'the speedbump' - the bridging.
Is it normal I still hear the difference between my chest voice and head voice right before and after the bridge? I mean the bridging happens smoothly just from within I hear myself that my phonation differs a little bit (when I'm belting).

That's why I was wandering where to bridge in the chorus of another track.
Later when I recorded it I realized that listeners can't really hear the difference.

But again, is it OK or it will come out later..?

Here's the track: https://youtube.com/watch?v=HbqBNbH20JY

Thanx,

Vinni

    Hi, Vinni,

The idea is to use a tone in your head voice that more closely matches up to the sound of the chest voice. It won't feel the same, because they are different registers, and they sound different too. But you can make them match more closely.

Thank you highmtn! You confirmed what I was thinking of - to match them as close as possible. I like the way you named it - it's just a FEELING. So I keep ignoring till forget
