Ray Charles

Hi!
I am learning I believe to my soul by Ray Charles (on piano and vocals). What are your professional thoughts on this song? Would you consider it a high key to sing in?
And what are your tips for learning this song? Where would you professional singers start when practicing the vocals? How can a coal coach help me with this song?

It's in Eb minor. Not necessarily a high key, but if you intend to sing it with the swagger of Ray Charles, there will be high not embellishments that require vocal agility and technique.

I would start with the lyrics and the chords and then sit down with the lyrics and make notes on how Ray embellished the notes and where he put vocal riffs and runs into the melody.

A vocal coach can help you to know what to do when your voice may run aground here or there on high notes, or other parts that may be giving you difficulties.
