Does sinus affect singing?

Does sinus cause us to have a naturally nasally singing voice? People have told me that I've a nasally voice whenever I speak or sing. Should I have it surgically remove if I'm going to be a professional singer?

No, we don't need surgery to sing. We can vary the amount of air that goes out our mouth vs the amount that goes through the nasal passage. People tend to over-obsess about nasality in your voice. You NEED SOME nasal sound. Otherwise you will sound like you are very congested. That isn't pretty, either. You want a nice balance of throat and nasal tone. There I said it. You want some nasal tone.
