I just wanted to know what effects are used in this song?
How can I replicate that little echo in Audacity? I can't seem to grasp how echo really works.

    Hi @Diego, it sounds like a quarter or half note delay (it depends on the time signature you are counting). Since I am working on Logic Pro X I can not give you any hints how to manage this in Audacity. But I think Brian put the delay before the reverb. To me it sounds that only the delayed vocal parts are put to the reverberation. And ... Brian seems to use a lot of distortion (Git amp simulation?) on his vocals.

    @Diego , try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCI6R0mnlS4

    the song is roughly 72 bpm (or 144 bpm) (tapped it out on a drum machine so not very accurate), you can then look up the value in a chart like this:

    http://mastermixlive.com/delay-charts-pg-3/bpm-time-delay-chart-2/

    so try 883,33 or 416,67 for the delay time value to get the note values the Doc suggested.

    I would run the duplicated track through a distortion, and some telephone filter (basically an EQ which cuts the highs and lows, only leaving the area around 4kHz through) before doing the process with the delay and reverb.

    @doc_ramadani is right, the main vocals might be distorted as well, but I would leave the main track alone, because I think it will be hard to not make this sound unpleasant. if anything, make another duplicate of the main vocals, and distort it, but mix it in only lightly (with the channel fader). it will give you some grit but leaves the main track alone.

    I never use Audacity so I am not sure if it has real time effects, which is much more flexible, because you can tweak the settings (with these FX from the video, you commit to the dealy and then add the reverb, so if you want to hear what a different echo setting sounds like, you'd have to go back to the beginning and then render again).

    But this should be a starting point for you hopefully

    can I assume that this is your next song you'll record/have recorded? if so, good plan!

    I actually already have it recorded. I just need to edit it.
    I got the delay laid down already, was working nonstop yesterday.
