Re: Slightly confused on shedding weight/mixed voice/smaller sounds
More on this in the video glossary. In the first video, below, Ken uses the synonyms pressure, loudness, volume, girth, & mass for "weight." Vowel Modification question
I am following v3.0 from the beginning. When watching videos 1-12 (day 8), there are many mentions of vowel modifications within. Then, on Day 8, there is a link to the Vowel Modification chart. From watching the videos before Day 8, number 13, I had assumed there would be an entire video on Vowel Modifications before the… -
Re: Does jaw mewing exercises affect your singing?
Well the tounge has three Jobs 1. The Produktion of the fricativs (s,Sh, ch, french r and russian r) 2.controling the overtones (that's why A E I O U Sound different) and selecting the cavity. If you sing through the nose then there is a chance, that the Vowels and the consonants get seperated too much and you can't shape… -

Re: How many days a week should you practice
to start, 2-3 hrs might be a bit too much. beginners are told to do about 10-20 mins a day and slowly move up to the full 45 mins (vol 1) and then 1 hr eventually for the higher volumes. that's warmup only, no "singing songs" included remember we want to build muscle and muscle memory, so quality beats quantity. if you can… -
Re: Beautiful Crazy - Luke Combs
Hello! Great to hear from you @GuyChan yes the concept you are communicating and the audio example you provided help to add clarity. After my lesson with Ken I have more breath support and better vowel placement that I believe will resolve this. Ken mentioned with the singing technique I showed him I should be able to sing… -
Re: Why did I finish practicing KTVA Volume 2? my voice is hoarse
I practiced from volume 1 to A4, then from volume 2 to Bb 4. Then I wanted to use the head voice and after that my voice disappeared. Because I just received an answer from a friend that I shouldn't use Head voice too fast. Now I'm practicing Volume 2. I don't know if I should go back to Volume 1 or not, but I've been… -
Re: Head voice is gone/no sound coming out for months
Thank you! @Klaus_T However, the speech therapist doesn't know how to help me. The breath and resonance exercices she gives me hurt my voice immediately and they cause more pain. I really dont know how i ever get rid of this pain when talking and if i ever get my head voice back. The speech therapist says she doesn't know… -

Re: Hi from Czech Republic!
I started a week ago (an hour of singing and training of VOLUME 1 every 6 days). Yesterday I gave myself a break. So today I started again and had an idea to record myself when training. Because I´m really not shure if I´m doing it right. It would be a great honor if Ken could listen to it, but I understand he must be very… -
