Big Tonsils affect the singing?

Hello,
I have a question that I've been wondering a long time
I've big tonsils, and when I'm doing the exercises in front of the mirror, I see that in the upper range, the tonsils close the space, and leave only a tiny space between the tongue and them. It's normal? This could affect my singing, because I've to make an extra effort to sing with power? Or are only things in my head? ahha I sometimes feel that my high notes walk in thin line between hitting them or fail miserably because of the closure. And like I said, probably are just things in my head and its perfectly normal, I dont know.

Thank you
