Tonsil removal

Hey everyone I heard removing your tonsils makes your voice better .is it okay if I get mine removed? Will it make my voice sound better?

    I would not recommend any such thing.

    Depending upon your age, having your tonsils removed can be a very serious surgery, and hard to recover from.

    People have been singing for centuries without tonsillectomies.  You have no idea which of your favorite singers have or have not had their tonsils removed.

    What if you had it done and your voice sounded "worse"?

    The older you are the longer and more painful the recovery. I'm guessing the vocal difference would be negligible.

    If you don't need them removed for health reasons I wouldn't bother. I still have mine:)
