Need Guidance with OPEN THROAT

I have asked this question before but there are still many doubts in my head. I'm not sure if I'mdoing it correct or not. I can't open my throat as much as Ken some guys say you can't as a beginner but other say you have to keep it open. So here's a video of my back of the throat.

    That's not bad at all. You just have to keep practicing keeping as much "AH" as you can.

    AH is the most open vowel. The more correct AH we sing, the more we open our throat.

    Is it okay to sound a little bit nasally or do I have to avoid it? Because when I do I find it easy to open the throat.
