Nasal sound when singing

Hi does anyone know why when I listen to recordings of myself singing It sounds like I have a nasaly nose blocked sort of sound. It only happens with some songs specifically when I sing higher notes. My friend say they don't hear it but to me I sound like my nose is closed.
