Hi Divas, Hi Dudes,

my name is Marco, but call me Doc (like my friends do). I am 48 years old and a medical doctor from Germany. I joined KTVA 5 months ago. I started from Zero, Nada, Nothing - I was not able to sing one single note on pitch.

This is my first recording of an entire song. I purchchased a playback, burned it on a CD and use my late 80s style boom box featured in the video for the backing track.

It took me a while to learn how to apply all the techniques I am learning to the song. I still have pitch issues but I am working on that.

I want to thank all moderators and students for their patient support. Friends, you are great!

You can clearly hear that you still have some problems but nothing that cant be fixed. But I really enjoy seeing someone enthusiastic as you, you really lighten up my mood. Just a people helping doctor who enjoys to sing (and dance) in his free time.

I couldn't help but smile. The beginning with the tape was an awesome addition. You are so confident with a camera pointed at you. I'm afraid i won't be able to upload something of reasonable quality this month. And you put the bar pretty high man...

I think you are on a good path with your singing by the way, you will keep on improving!

Hi Ben,

thank you for the kind words. I had a lot of fun with the song. Sure I have still so many issues. BUT, I still remember where I came from: NOTHING. So, it is the fact - this recording is AWESOME.

@doc_ramadani Pretty good! Off course, there are some tone and support issues here and there, but nothing that can't be fixed. You have confidence in front of the camera and I like it!

Pitch problems at the beginning, but other than that, pretty solid.
I would have modified some parts to make it sound fuller, but you did a pretty good job overall.

@Diego, these Christmas videos really aren't for critique. They are mainly just a fun thing to do for the holiday. Something everybody can do without the fear of judgement.
(It's good to keep them on their toes though)

for somebody who could not sing a single note on pitch (according to what you said), this is not less than a breakthrough in 5 months! Hi @Shuliko,

thank you very much. I have had a lot of fun. To be honest it was the first and last recording of this song because I was a little bit in a hurry. I did my daily exercises, changed clothes and sang the song.

And I appreciate that @Michael4000 and @Diego joined this nice discussion.

Maybe you want to join us next year if you are not able to contribute this year. But ... there a some days left.

@doc_ramadani really loved the intro with the tape hah such memories. Really enjoyed your enthusiasm and costume and your voice has a nice timber (apart from some pitch problems which I am sure can be fixed by more practice )

@victortang thanks so much. Hm yeah unfortunately I got rid of my smartphone as well lol was wasting too much time on it. But a huge thanks for the link. Really really enjoyed your rendition of that song. Your voice is really nice to listen and your timber is really really nice to listen to as well. I don't know why but I got the hinge that you might rock at musicals or maybe blues?
