The Difference A Year And A Half Makes

Hey guys!
So it's my 3 year anniversary of KTVA! (Keep in mind I've never gotten any one on one lessons and had no prior training to the course). The video below was recorded as one take. The only adjustments to my raw vocals is the little echoey reverb my editor put in while combining the vocals and instrumental.
The whole bridge is in my mixed voice (except the high note which is in head). I had to really pay attention to my glottal compression to maintain the mixed voice without my voice cracking.
Please let me know what you think!

SAME SONG DIFFERENT YEAR:
Now here is a recording I did on my computer about a year and a half ago of the same song. I listened to it a few minutes after hearing my newest recording and my husband and I were cracking up at how bad it was haha
Funnily enough I've been doing the same Vol 3 workouts for the past year and a half and WOW what a difference it's made! This is why it's so fun to go back and revisit old songs. If you want to see just how far I've come give it a listen
(video is private for obvious reasons lol)

wow very nice! great to hear how much you improved

@Klaus_T thank you!

Huge improvement! For anyone that listens to these, realise that its not only time that makes a difference but what you do in that time. Constant practice week in week out putting in the hours to grow your voice.
You are really getting good command of your tone and how you choose what to do with your voice for different textures and emotions. If this was one take, your command of your pitch is getting my better as well, 99% was spot on, one of your best for sure

@Wigs thank you so much!

Thanks so much for sharing this. Awesome progress!

@KarenSings thank you!

@LindseyBean
Great progress in a relative short space of time, your tone and pitch has improved a lot its much brighter than the first version and you put your own style to the song which is good. Great job sure you will continue to improve as you progress in your training. -
@Vocality thank you so much! It's always fun to see how much we progress overtime without noticing it right away

First of all, I'm amazed by how much you sound like Christina Perri in general. The improvement is stunning. I love this song, so it was a real pleasure hearing this. Keep it up!
-
@jdcma thank you! I'm glad you think I sound like her. That's a huge compliment!
-
Thank you for sharing, great work!

@SteveStan thank you!

This is a phenomenal improvement! So well done! I’m putting in the time, few hours per day. I can only hope I am able to reach this level in a years time.
-
@Mashara good luck on your journey! There's lots of ups and downs. I definitely don't sound like that every day. but it's all about working on having that consistency and control over our voices
-
A striking improvement... almost seems like a lie. I'm not doubting it, I'm honestly impressed. I started just a month ago. I hope next year I'll be posting something in this level.

@DonaldWinston keep in mind i've been doing KTVA exercises for a total of 3 years not just one. The difference is a year apart but it's 2 years in vs 3 years. The voice grows slowly but steadily. Don't give up and keep pushing yourself! It's going to be a long journey, best of luck to you!
