What do we mean by "Ping is the King"?

in GENERAL SINGING - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Forum
When Ken says about "ping is the king" is he referring to 'Twang' sound?
As long as I know Twang is often called as 'ping' as well.
Or is he talking in a different way?

I just want to be clear.

    he means that your LAH should be bright. listen to when he says "it's the LAH -AH", that's the sound you are going for. the word twang isn't used in the course., so i don't know if that's the same thing. try to copy Ken's tone, and you'll get there.

    Ping is not twang. When he's talking about ping he's talking about resonance. The LAH-AH is an exercise designed to help you open your throat, lift you soft palate to create maximum space for the sound to resonant or "ping"

    My understanding of twang is the use of ee or eh sound for nearly everything in your upper register to hit a note. It ends up being a bit one dimensional and everything sounding a bit same same. What the others said about ping is correct.

    When Ken says "ping is the king," he’s probably talking about that sharp, clear sound you get from a good hit, rather than the 'Twang' sound. I’ve noticed that in different sports or gear, 'ping' and 'Twang' can mean different things, so it might depend on what Ken’s referring to.

    He does describe what the word "twang" means in the 3.0 course. Not sure about 2.0 since I've never had it.
