Drinking water too much

I always notice that whenever i am drinking a lot of water, the water/liquid usually end up coating my vocal cord and resulting for me struggling to achieve nice cord closure..did any of you experience this? And what should i do to overcome this?

are you talking about plain water? it does that with sugary drinks but plain water?! normally that should be good for your singing

Yes..its a normal plain water..im not sure why its coated my vocal cord..and its not like its happened all the time..just occasionally..but most of the time when its happen im starting to stuggle to achieve bright ping in my scale especially in high notes..

ahhh i forget to mention that i also have a lot of mucus in my throat..maybe it could be that the plain water mixed with the mucus and then it start to coat my vocal cord..

yeah, maybe it just dislodges what was already there. have you tried to get rid of that mucus? have you seen Ken's video on it on YT?
