finding the pitch from guitar chords being played?

Hi I am a newbie and working on the program. I can sing to the pitch of a single note, but have trouble doing it with chords.
any help or advice would be helpful.

Use the root/tonic of the chord.

It's nice if you can learn notes, and chords. As HuduVudu mentioned, you can sing on the root note, but if you know chords, there are usually 3 notes you can choose from to base your vocal on. It helps in creating harmonies also.

The "Lah" exercise is an arppegio of a chord, in other words you are singing each note in a major chord starting with the root note.
