Tongue Tension

Hello from Myanmar

When i do scale, approaching C4 and D4, the tongue tends to pull the larynx up and creates an arch in the mouth. Why is that happening and how do I keep the tongue flat all the way up in my range?

    It is happening because you are tensing against what you know is coming ... the "hard" note. Focus on keeping your tongue touching the back of your lower teeth.
