Luke,
The sound of your voice is fine. We all react a bit when we hear our voices played back. Your tone could use some more brightness to sharpen it up. More strength in your support will also help to grow your voice and stabilize it.
You are coming along nicely. Keep the demos coming, and keep listening to the playback. You will learn a lot by recording, listening to yourself, and making small corrections along the way.

Hi Luke,
You're not in a bad place.
You can hear you are starting to build the mechanism and muscle structure and then your support gets weak so it goes to your throat. Concentrate even more on strengthening abdominal support even if it means doing it a line at a time, and then connect two lines and so on. This will help you. The good things is you are starting to move away from strain in the throat and building this takes time.
