Singing warmup - biological clock and the show

I have a show coming up in around ten days, planning to adjust my warmup time so it aligns with the show. Ken says to warm up a full hour before the show, and to warm up at the time as the performance will be, at least in the week before the show. my question: if, say, the show starts 8pm, I would obviously start warming up on the night at 7, but do I start doing the warmups the week before at 7, or at 8? does it even make a difference? would like to hear peoples' thoughts/experiences.
