Are whistle notes dangerous?

Hi, I've seen some singers like Mariah carey, Adam lopez and Dimash do crazy whistle notes. It seems very dangerous for the voice. How do people reach whistle notes in the first place?

    Yes, using the whistle register can damage the voice. Personally I do not think that they are of much use.

    Some people try to get them by singing at very, very low volume. But I can't recommend that and it is also not used in the KTVA methodology.

    okay, yeah it seems very dangerous. i feel like whistle notes are just to show off
