There's many issues regarding pitch, hearing issue we need to calibrate to hear pitch correctly, diaphragmatic support issue that can cause pitch issues.

Incorrect breath control pushing too much air over vocal folds can cause us to go hoarse, but not necessarily make us sing off pitch.

i think it could play a role, yes. especially at the end of a phrase, when support gets weak, i sometimes notice that i am off pitch

Yeah, I feel I've noticed a greater tendency to go flat when I'm not supporting properly.
