Stomach pain when taking deep breaths?

I've always experienced sharp pain and general nausea if I take a really deep breath.. I'm going through the breathing exercises that deal with diaphragmatic support in Ken's course right now and its kind of a problem because when I think I'm breathing right, it hurts.. suggestions?
