I've noticed myself now and again breathing in to get to notes... normal? abnormal? frowned on? Thanks Ken peeps...๐

Don't think thats correct, we take a diaphratic breath prior to singing a phrase,scale etc, when we breath in we keep the chest extended and our abdomen pushes outward. Then pull back the abdomen in when singing to give strength in the sound.
