mix voice?

So I know you're supposed to build that bridge between chest and head, but what is exactly is the mix voice? is it just that area where ur voice connects the registers?

    In a nutshell it's the percentage of head and chest you use in the sound. For example you can sing a note with 70% chest and 30% head.

    Mixed voice is an extended "zona di passaggio". When we start this zone between chest voice and head voice maybe very small, like 2 or 3 semitones. We learn to extend this area by stretching our chest voice to the top and to bring our head voice down low. Then we learn how to extend the "zona di passaggio" in which we can blend chest and head voice to an octave or more. This is our Mixed Voice.
