From what i have heard from Ken,he says in order to get rib cage expanded, you must breathe in to half and 3 quarters full in the lungs.Well if i do so,my chest gets up.After i do this,i must then breathe in my belly or i have to do it already while i try to expand my rib cage? And do them toghethere everytime after i sing a phrase in a song?

I can answer to both of your questions with a clear "YES!".Try to expand your ribcage and engage your support every time you want to sing a phrase. The ribcage expansion gives you a little extra amount of air when singing very challenging phrases.
