What kind of audio equipment do I need that won't break the bank?

What kind of audio equipment would you recommend for someone on a budget who wants to learn where they are at and where they can get? Basic computer microphones and recording programs really don't capture qualities you may or may not have. I guess it's a first step if I wanted to be able to submit true quality vocal samples for review and advice.

Focus rite has really good starter bundles if you already own a computer?

you could also look into field recorders. the thing with audio gear is, it usually is a constant upgrading once you started, because you discover more and more things you want to be able to do. so it is normally worth looking into future-proof things which are more expensive but don't paint you into a corner down the line. if you specify a bit more what you want (and what you own already), i can be more precise

First of all, what's your budget?

    I could probably budget $50-$100

I'm a beginner and I'm currently packing in a Presonus Audiobox and a Shure SM 58
Although it's second hand and pretty basic, it will cost more than 100 $, not including the laptop I'll work on
But I'm in France and this USA stuff is more affordable in the USA
