Chest and mixed voice questions

I sing for about an hour every other day and I usually sing in my chest and mixed voice without distortion. Usually near the end of my session, my voice starts to get tired feeling and my range slowly goes down in my chest voice. Is this just a lack of stamina/too long of sessions or could it be improper technique?

I also don't feel any strain to get notes out until later in my session when my range starts to go down

I don't think an hour is too long of a session, sometimes I spend more than that just practicing scales and singing afterwards. It's possible that it's a stamina issue if you spend alot of that time near the top of your range, but if you are singing regularly, my first assumption would be it's more to do with technique.

Ok. I guess it's more stamina because I'm usually at the top of my chest voice belting. I'll take it more slower and build up my stamina more.

Of course, the vocal cords get tired faster during high notes. For the same load time.

    Hi @Kingofood,

I think as well that it might be that your vocal tract gets tired. Sometimes it helps to make a 3 minute break, to drink some water and than to resume the practice. Don't forget that this is an extreme sport.
