Head voice strengthening: dealing with lower notes

Hi everyone!
Working on the basis of Ken's range widening tutorial, I sometimes experience difficulties pinging the lower head-voice notes (I turn 'fluty').

In those situations, should I switch back to chest or should I stay in head with less intensity?

    It depend on what your goal is for the workout? If like the title suggests you are strengthening your head voice, then I would try and stay in head voice.
