Sit-up exercise, no support with mixed voice

Hi Everyone!
I'm new to the forum and kinda new to the course as well. (I've known KTVA for a while already, but now I'm seriously getting into it.)
I just did the sit-up singing exercise in volume one and I notice how I can't really do this in mixed voice, my voice just starts to crack.
However, my belts and head voice is very strong and high, so no support issues there, which makes this very confusing.
Any advice on how to train support in specifically mixed voice?

mixing isn't taught until vol 2, and then only a little bit there. you should make sure not to skip the basics, the course is structured like it is for a reason. i know everyone is impatient and wants to do shortcuts, but unfortunately, this is not how it works
