Emotion and story telling were really good. Try round off "time" and "side" a bit, you are on the limit of splatting. Also using a bit of ah in "don't" to lead into the word. This version will be another one of your winners I reckon 👍🏼

Very interesting @Michael4000! I liked the changes in volume and intensity and you hit the notes very well! It was interesting to listen to. I guess the one thing I would like is some vibrato when you are holding out the notes but if that was the style you were going for then just ignore. LOL.
