Straining words

I Seem to be straining on words when singing when I am in chest voice and it sounds flat and stained .I am ok in head voice and lower notes in chest how can I remedy this?

There's many reasons this could be happening. The most obvious is you have yet to properly grow or mature your chest voice, or singing with the consonants are holding back your ability to keep your throat open.

Maybe your chest voice isn't actually that bad but you are just not used to hearing it it recordings.

Your support could be lacking and you use too much air. Without a reference to what you sound like it could still be many more things. I know you have put up some demos, I just haven't had a chance to listen yet.
