I have heard KEN talking about coming from behind the note while ascending the scale but honestly I didn't get that concept I always struggle with it. Even with the yawning sensation thing, I don't know if I do it right or not. Can anyone explain it to me in a simpler way?

for me it works this way:
- Imagine you have a Ball in your mouth behind the tongue. As I do this, my throat fells like making a little hollow behind the tongue.
- As I ascend the scale I try to feel the tone coming up my throat in this hollow place (back of my throat). When I´m low, the tone is in the hollow place or under. When I get higher, the tone goes over the hollow and starts to "knock" at my soft palate.
- Now comes the yawning thing. Let the soft palate rise. If it does, you can see it in a Mirror and you can feel it in the head. For me, it feels like the sinuses vibrate to the sound.
- When you are there, you can bring the sound more in front of your face without letting the soft palate fall back.
Long desciption, sorry for that. In short, try to let the tone roll from low over the back of your throat, up to the soft palate to rise it and from the upper back to your nose.
I hope I could help you a little bit.
Best regards Oli
