Keeping’ Dat Christmas thang going’! I’m especially proud of this one. Of course it certainly helps to have a partner who’s vocals are absolutely sublime! This is why i love Smule...
This is an Aussie classic and while not technically a Christmas song, its always played around this time. The story of it is in the video. The song is called how to make gravy by Paul Kelly.
Just wanted to join in. Not much free time so below was the most acceptable of my few attempts at Silent Night. I didn't like my singing of this song at a lower octave so, while flutey, I still liked this more.

@HumanRobot I applaud the fact that you posted a song of yours on this post that’s part of what this forum is about and no I’m not a moderator but I help my fair share of people on this forum and would do more if I had more time. That’s what this forum is about. I’m not policing you and am sorry you feel that way but this isn’t really a who likes Bon Jovi type forum and you post plenty of that. If that’s what you think is helpful that’s fine I’m not stopping you but I have as much right to comment on it as you do to post it. However it would be nice if you spent as much effort posting your stuff and helping those that need it rather than turn it in to a who do you like sight. Judging by your piano playing I’m sure you have some helpful insight for people. It would just be nice to hear some of that more often
Thanks @Mferrigno. I appreciate the kind words. I don’t post much in the way of songs. It’s weird I listened through my headphones and it was a good mix but listened after I posted and wow. A liiiiitle too much vocals lol. I just learned that song so it coulda been much better. It usually takes me a few days of singing something before I do it good but thank you for the kind words!! There’s some pretty good sounding songs in this Christmas post. Well done everyone!!
@sjonrokz4u I agree with @Mferrigno ... I was also very happy to hear you singing and liked your voice a lot! Hopefully you will let us listen to some more songs in future
I was going to start a thread based on Christmas songs unique to your home but @shining had this started so I just joined in.
@bentk it actually says Bah Humbug. I'm not really that big on Christmas so as a joke my girlfriend bought it for me years ago so I now wear it every year 😊
Ok @shining you really got me feeling Christmasy lol Thanks for this post. I had so much fun with the last song I decided to do another. This one is a short sweet version of Jingle Bells. No rehersal or learning, one take as I first played it from you tube, very impromptu, very revealing lol. I wanted to go for the big note at the end and didn't feel it lol. Makes me want to start some kind of Christmas band next year. To @Wigs A hearty Bah Humbug, @Chris82@shining@HumanRobot@RandyB@Rick_amateur and anyone else who posted that I may have missed, Happy holidays!!! https://soundcloud.com/user-105699695/jingle-bells
Man I gotta figure something out about my headphones. Again the vox are to loud and the sounded right in the cans. Oh well it’s Christmas who cares lol
The KTVA forum is primarily a place for students of Ken's course to discuss their course experiences and ask questions. Most of that happens in the student areas of the forum, which aren't visible to non-students. In the public areas you're posting in, we discuss more general topics, but there is always a connection to how to apply Ken's techniques to sing the songs. As @sjonrokz4u said, this isn't a general music discussion site. You are welcome to post your own singing for feedback, whenever you're ready!
@Wigs You weren't wrong, Wigs, I just loved your cover of Paul Kelly - so beautifully, feelingly done Wigs. I'm gonna learn that song. thanks so very much...you've got me pegged!! (you also have very nice teeth btw)

this year i also tried a little christmas song myself (+ Band), it's "o come all ye faithful" - in the style of twisted sister. The traditional version, often sung in christmas services, is one of my absolute favorites! Btw. the last verse / refrain is german.
@sjonrokz4u Thanks man! Yes, that is my band. The guys send me thier recorded track files digitally (due to corona situation) and I made the mixing by myself (but iam by no means a professional mixing engineer) -still very happy about the outcome.

@Skylar
The idea was to post a version of you singing that song

Cool covers guys! Never heard of the song you posted @Wigs
Most countries probably have their own 'unique' Christmas tunes i suppose. But you probably won't see me singing any Dutch songs....
Süßer die Glocken nie klingen (Sweeter the bells never sound)
Funfact: When I was a kid I always thought its: Sweety, the bells never sound .. because the german word "Süßer" means both the same
https://www.dropbox.com/s/13ysbd9ktntv8pn/süßer-die-glocken-nie-klingen-12.2020.m4a?dl=0
And "Oh du fröhliche" (O, you merry) .. a song wich I loved to sing in church
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wnzion5o86pqx46/oh-du-fröhliche-12.2020.m4a?dl=0
But both are sooo high and was really hard to sing
