singing light and not breathy(airy)

Hey Ken.I'm really enjoying the course so far, but I have a question.  I'm a tenor 1 and have no problems chesting up to C#5-Eb5 before mixing.  However, when I want to sing lighter I have such an airiness to my tone.  i noticed when you're doing some of the licks and tricks stuff you sing down the octave and its still "clean" sounding.  I have really good transitions when adding pushing but not if I'm singing easy(make sense?).  What should I be working on to help me fix this? Thanks in advance!

    Can you put up a demonstration of your problem? Let us hear the lighter singing.

    You may need to practice on some sliders both in a light mechanism and also with a heavier tone.
