Home GENERAL SINGING - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Forum

My head voice gets stuck at e5. Is there any chance that i can go higher if I keep practicing?

It would be great if someone could answer.

Yes there is every chance! I was stuck at that for about 6 months before a break through. BUT it may take you longer or shorter, it takes ALOT of practice and diligence, monster support and excellent technique and breath control. On good days I can touch an A5, though my usable range when I sing is well below that, usually below A4 for chest and maybe D5 for head if I'm having a good day. The idea of hitting those notes in practice is to stretch your voice past where you would normally sing so when you are performing a song there is less fear of the high note and it's easier to hit because it's well in your total range.
