Raised Uvula

Hey there everyone!
I'm going through Ken's How to Sing course (Version 1) and in the beginning, he talks about the AH vowel and shows a close-up of the back of his throat. It looks as though his uvula goes up and stays there.
When I do the exercise, the only time my uvula moves upwards is when I'm in a higher range. Is this how it should be? In fact, I can't figure out how to raise it in my lower range at all. Just want to be sure I'm doing it correctly, as he stresses the importance of this multiple times.
Would it help to post something?
