I can go pretty high in chest(maybe chest dominant mix idk), up to c#5 sometimes even higher, but i cant seem to shed the weight when going higher so I just get louder, causing me to hit a wall usually around c5, here are some exercises that im doing now, these are usually the top of my range.

Around this point you'll need to really hold back your air and drive the sound through your support. Your tone is bright in the examples. I think Ken mentions vowel mods in his YouTube videos but doesn't go into detail about them so I can't discuss it here either. The general idea though is to find smaller spaces in the vocal tract for the vowel so you aren't bringing all the weight up. Think about how the higher you go, the more the vowels are harder to distinguish.
