Laryngitis and sickness

I got a cold a few days ago and I’m almost at 100% in every area except my voice. It’s so hoarse and I can’t sing above a Bb3 without pushing too hard. So obviously I have no usable range. Warming up just doesn’t work. I’ve tried very easily doing some vocal exercises to try and rehabilitate, but after 20-30 minutes, my voice doesn’t seem to have changed even a little. I am a worship leader and I have rehearsal on Wednesday where I have to lead 3 moderate difficulty songs. I’m posting this on a sunday. I need to figure out what to do in the next 3 days! I’m afraid it’s laryngitis. I’ve started a vocal rest, but I’m not sure if that’s the best course of action or if I should be doing subtle vocal warmups to try and bring my voice back to life. Please help!!!

i think you are right to take a break. how that collides with your gig is another question.

you should rest until you are not hoarse, and inflammation is gone. you can drink ginger/turmeric tea with honey and address the inflammation naturally.
