Polyphonic Overtone Singing

I am a huge fan of Axl Rose's singing, and he has inspired me to want to learn. The reason I mention him here is because there has been lore of Axl "singing multiple voices at the same time." I researched this and discovered it is indeed possible. I think an example would be that interesting rasp on the intro to Welcome to the Jungle, is that P.O.S? (I'm looking for good examples to be able to identify for myself.) Is P.O.S. dangerous at all? Is it something you can learn or must honestly be born with? And if you can learn it, honestly, how tough is it?

This is out of the scope of KTVA so I cant give much info on it. I think Mongolian singers are well know for overtone singing producing 2 different tones at the same time, you can do a bit of research on them and their techniques.
