L consonant

When I use the L consonant in Lah, I feel the abdominal muscles contract by itself without me pushing on them.. Is this the right way to sing ?
and can you explain why

is it only with the L? i would imagine it works on other letters too? i don't think this will be a good indicator of right or wrong singing
