    No, you don't sound terrible. You sound a strained and struggling when you go for the higher note of "are you listening". But you don't sound bad at all, I like your tone, it definitely fits this style. To be honest there isn't a whole lot to go off of here but as far as I can tell you are doing a good job. As for the higher note, that just comes with pushing yourself to sing higher and higher all the time (safely of course), which will make the notes easier to hit. Nice work man!
