Sobbing intonation

Greetings, everyone!

working on a verse evoking a painful experience, I was wondering if there's a technique to sing it as if I were sobbing...

Any insight or examples?

    I think it depends on whether the song calls for true emotion or if the sobbing is an "act" in the song that a character needs to express.

    If it's for emotion, you really need to dig deep to find a connection otherwise it will come across as insincere.
