THICK mucous after workout

I have worship rehearsal on Thursdays. That’s also one of the only days I can workout during the week. I find that about an hour after my workouts, my voice begins to collect mucous so thick to where I lose the ping completely and it would take hours to break through. Despite warming up for an hour or more, I can’t get my voice online. This makes it so I have to strain through rehearsals to hit anything above a C4-D4. It’s very discouraging. What should I do?
