Vowel Modification question

I am following v3.0 from the beginning. When watching videos 1-12 (day 8), there are many mentions of vowel modifications within. Then, on Day 8, there is a link to the Vowel Modification chart. From watching the videos before Day 8, number 13, I had assumed there would be an entire video on Vowel Modifications before the introduction of the chart. There wasn't.

So, are we just to pull those mentions from the previous videos and apply the simplified chart? OR........what?
