Ok, so I bought the original (first) version of the Tamplin course with DVDs and lifetime access about ten years ago for $300, which was a lot of money for me at the time.
I made a lot of progress with the course, but eventually had to stop because of problems with my throat. A lot of people here on the forum, including Ken, helped me with that, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, I couldn't resolve the issue at the time.
About a year ago I started singing again, and thankfully I no longer have that problem. Now that I have much better control and awareness of my voice and passaggio, I want to continue with the material I already paid for, especially the scales. So I emailed support at help@kentamplinvocalacademy.com to get my download links again. I was really excited to start the course again. The response I got was:
“We no longer have the links for the course you purchased. It has been updated twice since then.” I then emailed again, but haven't received a response.
I understand that the course has been updated since I bought it. But I paid $300 for the original course with lifetime access, and I'm still an original Pro member. Being told that the links to the course I actually purchased are no longer available, and then being offered the updated course for another $50, is pretty disappointing. I'm not asking for something I never paid for. I just want access to the course I originally purchased. I've defended this vocal method and KTVA many times over the years, so this honestly feels pretty bad from the perspective of an original customer. Disappointed and needed to share this here.
