Your scratchy feeling may be vocal strain. If that is so, you are pushing too hard and need to stop doing that. You will need vocal rest if that is the case. Light and bright should help to get rehabilitated, as long as you don't aggravate things by overdoing it again.
Some of your singing should be light and bright. Normally not all of your singing would be light and bright, but if you have overpushed, you will need to back off long enough to get past this scratchy feeling. If you keep laying into it with the scratchy feeling, you are not likely to get better.
If you are having this kind of problem, you should always start out lightly, so you don't slam your vocal cords with too much pressure right out of the gate. You should warm up lightly and gradually add more strength as your voice becomes more agile.
It is very easy to oversing. When we are learning new techniques, we may get excited that we can do more, sing louder and higher than we previously could. By the time you feel that scratchy feeling, you have already abused your cords, and they will need time to rehabilitate.
Take it easy and proceed with caution. It's better to undersing than to oversing.
Cut back the air some. Regulate the pressure. Be nice to your cords.
