Greeting from Montreal QC

Hello!
High hopes from this system.
I started private coaching, but it is too costly.
So I wanted to give this a try.
I am slightly discouraged with my range lately, I have lost a good octave in the last 2-3 years it seems. In starting the program, I am unhappy to find that my chest voice tops out so quickly. But I am glad that I can still sing at all after years and years of hard grindcore and sludge metal screaming (with no technique at all). I haven't been doing that for a couple years now, but I will see how this goes. I am a gigging singer / songwriter, my set is easy enough for me to sing, because my first concern is not to challenge my vocals, but to get the story across in the way I feel. But improvement is always welcome.
We'll see how this goes.

    MW1,

Good luck with KTVA!  Hopefully using good technique will mean that you can regain some of your range.  Years of bad technique can take their toll as you know, but there is no time like the present to replace those techniques with healthier singing!

    Welcome to the KTVA Forums!
